Garth Linton
Biografía
Anything Soul and Synth driven, Warm, creative with a kick, you can be pretty sure it's in his record bag.
He does a monthly podcast called 'The Underground Slum' displaying some of his greatest records and showcasing a mix of 'live' recordings & exclusive guest mixes. Garth has supported artists from Michael Mayer, Kerri Chandler, Octave One and Steven Tang to John Digweed, Danny Howells, Carl Craig, Desyn Masiello, Eelke Kleijn, Way Out West and more.
Garth began his love for music at the age of 8 yrs where he would spend hours playing many of his dad's records. With the headphones on and volume up nothing else mattered. Over two decades later not a lot has changed. His passion for music but especially vinyl remains a high priority in his life.
Playing several musical instruments and busking along Manly Corso throughout his younger years, it was no surprise the new love for electronic music that followed, led him to the purchase of his first and still only, pair of Technics 1200mk2's.
He played his first gig as a Progressive House dj in 2002 at 'Choppy Choppy' on Sydney's Northern Beaches. He does a monthly podcast called 'THE UNDERGROUND SLUM' on Soundcloud and in 2012 & 2013 he was invited to play at the famous BURNING MAN FESTIVAL in the Nevada Desert. You will catch Garth throwing 'em down at most of Sydney's respected clubs such as The Metro, Spice Cellar, S.A.S.H, Civic Underground, The Burdekin, Space Ibiza Festival NYD in Syd and also in Melbourne and Brisbane.
