Between 2000 and 2009, G1 operated as a DJ under the name Danny G playing in various clubs and festivals around the south of England alongside the likes of Josh Wink, Colin Dale, Trevor Rockcliffe, Dave Angel and many more. In 2006 he received recognition for his mixing ability by winning IDJ magazines raw talent competition which at the time was judged by Nic Fanciulli and was described as ‘the best mix of the year so far’. Producing music was always the ultimate goal, in 2008 he remixed a track by Moonyani which was released on Yin Yang records. Since then his releases have featured on a number of labels, his most current work can be found on US based label Urban Kickz Recordings.
