From there he moved on to playing the eclectic backroom of Cause & Effect, playing oldschool breakbeat hardcore rave. After this he played at many North East forest and warehouse parties. Building his name up as a party DJ.
After this he landed two residencies at Newcastles famous Techno night Freaky Dancing, playing eclectic sets of electro, breaks, techno and oldchool forgotten gems. The other at Subway @ Satelite Nightclub playing breaks. He also has played at the infamous Detox nights and still sometimes to this current day.
He then played regularly at Newcastle University's end of year Arcane parties with Freaky Dancing. He then DJ'd at Antiworld on the Freaky Dancing stage in Aldershot playing electro. Radioactiveman was playing on the same Freaky Dancing stage. After this Jonny played a few times at Newcastle main experimental music night Backlash and was influenced by their experimental breakcore and gabba nights where he played hard electro and industrial techno.
Fed up with the commercial side of the Newcastle decided to create a night with his friend Tony Rome, called Body Melt that catered for the experimental side of electronica, Braindance, acid and electro. With the likes of Global Goon, Galaxian and DMX Krew. Even doing an outdoor party at the Free Trade on Newcastle's Quayside with their own Body Melt beer.
After Body Melt he played at his friend's night Milk the Cow regularly playing old skool breakbeat hardcore, techno, electro and acid. Along side Neil Landstrumm, Mustard Gunn, 2 Bad Mice, The Producer and the Horrorist.
Over the past 15 years he has played also alongside Phil Hartnel (Orbital, Longrange), Altern8, Ellis Dee, Ceefax Acid Krew, Shades of Rhythm, Slipmatt......
Currently Jonny is one of the regular resident DJ's at the Tanners Arms in Newcastle. Which is legendary for its no holds barred Techno parties.
Summer of 2013 he played along Emile Strunz and Iron Blu at Sub Musica at the Stand courtyard, playing space disco, italo and electro.
Jonny's productions took a new dimension after going to Road to Rimini in Newcastle (Newcastle's first italo night - with the likes of Legowelt playing) and was spellbound at the music. He is now making and playing space disco and italo alongside his love of pure electro and techno. From this he started to make music with Brian Feral of Cel36 recordings. With productions under the name Synthetic Organs. 2014 is looking like a strong year for releases for them and the label.
He is now a resident at Neon City at the Head of Steam playing funk, disco, electo and italo. Also resident at an Underground coldwave, EBM night called in SECT in Newcastle and recently warming up for Xeno and Oaklander amongst other acts!
