Fuchs
Biografía
Though being a creative mind and a businessman at the same time is a bit hard to pull, Istanbul's Ali Sahinbas aka Fuchs stands as an exception.
In 1999 he kickstarted what seems to be a lifelong career in radio and music. As one of the most in demand dj's of Istanbul he played in hundreds of clubs both at home and abroad, such as the Ministry of Sound and Cable in London; Liquid, Bar 13 and Nublu in New York, Rex in Paris. His energetic performances, open-minded selection and inspirational sequencing made many music crazed dance freaks very happy on the dance floor.
He shared the stage with DJs and artists such as Derrick May, Radio Slave, Steve Lawler, Lee Burridge, Futureshock, Sander Kleinenberg, Tobi Neumann, Solomun, Jimpster, Steve Bug, Dave Seaman, Ladytron, Roman Flügel, Orbital, Sandy Rivera, Desyn Masiello, Pete Tong, Timo Maas, Underworld, Daddy G, Kevin Yost, Chateau Flight, Clockwork, Jazzanova, James Holden, John Selway etc. and performed at festivals such as Creamfields (2003), Rock’n Coke (2003, 2011), Efes Pilsen One Love (2007, 2010), WMC Miami (2004, 2005, 2010), Sziget (2010) and Babylon Soundgarden (2015).
In 2003 he founded Dinamo (www.dinamo.fm) and became its leader and musical director in what would be one of his greater accomplishments for the Istanbul electronic music scene. During the seven years at the helm of Dinamo, he helped it into an institution, which not only provides space for new artists and producers, but also curates and organises various contests such as the noted Miller Music Factory and the legendary festival Radar Live.
His most recent venture is once again in radio. He became the COO of Karnaval Media Group, the biggest radio group in Turkey and helped found the karnaval.com digital radio platform.
He continues to appear at as many parties as he can all over the world, with his dedicated fanbase always by his side, or a beat behind him.
