Born in Tokyo, raised in South London – FU brings her cross-genre curated sets to pilot every step on the dance floor. Though heavily immersed in the world of Chicago, NY & Detroit house, influences of UK can be heard. From a young age, FU was exposed to various genres of music – from trance to classical. Her love affair with music started in hip hop and soul, but gradually discovered electronic music with passion and curiosity. FU has played at well-known venues in Japan like WOMB, Circus Tokyo, SOUND MUSEUM VISION, LION, Sankey's and many more underground locations of Tokyo. Playing alongside international DJs like Ash Lauryn, Hugo LX, Jitwam & Zombies In Miami, she has also played internationally in Mexico City and the Philippines. FU’s recent project ’Sunday FUnday’ is a monthly radio show aired on tsubaki FM. FU aims to create and expand the music community of Japan by showcasing her favourite tunes, but also having artists and creatives as guests to spark interesting conversations by tapping into many relatable topics.
