Having spent a lot of time performing in free jazz ensembles, he developed his taste for experimentation, while simultaneously falling in love with electronic music, hip-hop and film in all its aspects. For 5 years he has led his solo dance music project Mujipuki, where he covers a wide variety of genres, from House and Big Beat to Chicago Juke/Footwork. His film scores consist of nuanced electronic pieces intertwined with orchestral elements. On his live sets, mostly constructed with his own dubs/remixes and original compositions, Morgan’s mission is to create adventurous sonic narratives. Besides always composing new material from scratch for every live set he does, the challenge for Francisco is also to blend as many moments, emotions, and levels of intensity as possible, whilst making it feel like the perfect mixtape, or even a movie soundtrack. He draws a lot of inspiration from the early works of Arca, Flying Lotus and The Gaslamp Killer, artists that in his opinion encapsulate the ideal balance between experimental sound and beat/song-making. Morgan’s music brings roughness through distorted and deconstructed beats, blissed out with orchestral recordings, jazz, and drone.
