Ever since he was a kid he’s been drawn to music, especially to movie soundtracks, that unconsciously brought him closer to electronic music, though his real passion bloomed and materialized in the 90s, when he started djing during Sunday afternoon club parties. He became part of the music world in 1996. From 1996 to 1998 he worked as a Dj in various clubs / on special events around Italy - Liguria and Toscana (Cocoricò, Insomnia, Imperiale, Red Zone, The West). And thus, in 1999 he started a musical adventure together with 2 dear friends: they founded the “Air Kraft Vision”, a live-act of progressive and tech-house matrix based on midi sequences created and mixed live using recording studio type devices. This is how they started touring the most prestigious clubs in Italy: North to South. In the same year Francesco started to publish his own musical productions on vinyl. Those were the 90s, a very vivid time for music… a time of collaborations and friendships that soon turned into fruitful projects. A few examples would be Paskkal and SpostaMenti. It was in 2003 that he became a member of “SpostaMenti” ("Moving-Minds"), a project created by Francesco Zappalà on the occasion of his first live act opening at Distorsione Future Music Festival Bologna. In 2004 Francesco Passantino founded his own studio, Laboraudio and created his own label, “Tractorecords”, which he still manages today together with his friends Francesco Zappalà e Giosuè Impellizzeri. The music genres of predilection are tech-house and minimal techno, in collaboration with various foreign labels and artists. At that time he also started working with important acts like Steve Stoll and Groove Rebels. As a producer related to a context of minimal techno and tech house, he crossed the borders reaching Germany with Whirlpoolsex Music e Keno Records (the latter contains the successful “Monosynth” including the Kollektiv Turmstrasse remix). His constant cooperation with the German Interklang allowed him to reach renowned clubs all over Germany, where he was invited to perform as a DJ. Furthermore, he cooperated with Sabrina Carnevale and Sonartek and had a regular weekly presence on the radio show Soundzrise broadcasted by the Italian radio station M2O. At the end of 2010 Francesco got in touch with artists from Berlin and in 2011 created - together with Francesco Zappalà - the summer event at the Delano Beach in Ibiza. In 2012, after some gigs at the Arena Club, he decided to move to Berlin where he started a regular weekly gig at the Eschschloraque. In those days, he was working on record projects together with Sabrina Carnevale and Dino Lenny. In Berlin, Francesco Passantino created Round Qube Musik, together with Gabriele Carasco and I-Max. During 2012, already based in Berlin, he also started performing regularly at parties hosted by different clubs in the German capital: Club Der Visionaere”, Hoppetosse, ://about blank, Chalet. Club der Visionäre is however the spot that marked Francesco's musical existence and sound, that made him grow and evolve as a musician and performer, as a result of his numerous collaborations with so many international artists. In 2016 it's time for Vinyl2Go, a company dedicated to printing custom-made vinyl in small quantities for every music genre, and for Berliner Vinyl Werk, a small record store. 2021 is the year that witnesses the birth of the Resilience Groove project, a 4 artist live act, which is presently hosted by the Club der Visionäre. Francesco's dj set encompasses a range of musical genres that includes techno, house and minimal, all with a touch of his 90s origins and all backed by 26 years of music production.
