Influenced across the spectrum of electronic music and with a penchant for melodic & progressive house, 2022 saw an unmistakeable rise in his profile; indeed, his menacing ‘Devious’ release on Bedrock has held its own on the dance floor for well over a year – which is no small feat in today’s fast moving industry – and has since featured on an exclusive vinyl release alongside the likes of Jimi Jules and Frankey & Sandrino. In 2023 he has already made several appearances on Bedrock, including a cross-genre collaboration with Randall Jones which has garnered support from the industry’s finest, including Laurent Garnier & Guy J. Kris is also in full swing with his solo endeavours and has recently released ’The Interloper’ on legendary German label Afterglow. Aside from his own productions, Kris has worked with several key players within the industry on his own Keep Thinking imprint, including house music stalwarts X-Press 2, Jamie Stevens, Paul Hazendonk & Lee Pennington. Now in it’s eighth year, the label has been a go-to for many top-tier DJs, and has continued to remain ever-present in multiple guises, from Café Del Mar albums to John Digweed’s ‘Compiled & Mixed’ series on Apple Music. As a DJ, Kris’s influences are awash with vibrant, emotional and spiritual keynotes. Roused by the playful art of Bebetta right through to the darker sides of Eitan Reiter, his ability to read the mood of the dance floor has established him as a go-to DJ for tasteful warm-ups right through to extended headline sets, and with good reason: his performances evince a deep connection with the music, the crowd, and a welcome invitation to forget about everything else.
