FKSR
Biografía
Luiz Fukushiro (FKSR) is a DJ, visual artist, calligrapher, researcher and cultural producer whose work connects electronic music, critical theory and diasporic aesthetics. His musical practice is shaped by long-term research into music as a formative and political force, treating the dancefloor as a space where sound, identity and history intersect.
During the day, Fukushiro got a master's and PhD in Education, with research focused on music and the formation of the individual, as well as the transmission of traditional Japanese arts. A practitioner of Japanese calligraphy (shodō) and member of the Shodō Association of Brazil, they also graduated in Journalism, trained in Design and worked across media, digital culture and web programming.
In nightlife, FKSR is DJ resident and co-producer of SXO, alongside multidisciplinary artist DUDX. SXO is a party that places race, sexuality and representation at the center of club culture, foregrounding electronic music as a political tool. The project actively questions who holds power within nightlife while amplifying Black, Indigenous and Asian voices, and fostering queer and dissident forms of expression on the dancefloor. The party is one of the actions inside Sucesso Sexual, multimedia space for collective creation and an archive of art and sexuality.
