Having first stepped behind the decks in 1998, FDSX has developed an instinctive approach to DJing, shaped by years of digging, collecting records and playing across different musical environments. Coming up through the UK rave scene of the late 90s, his foundations were built on vinyl, hip-hop, funk, soul and electronic music. That broad musical upbringing continues to influence his selections today, with underground house at the centre of a sound that values groove, depth and musical exploration over passing trends. His journey has taken him from intimate underground spaces to established clubs and festivals. These include Glastonbury Festival, Nowadaze Festival, and numerous independent venues across Bristol and beyond such as Lakota, Thekla, The HiFi Club, The Gallimaufry, The Guvernment and Fluid. Alongside his solo work, FDSX is one half of The Waxhogs, a vinyl-focused project, and Keller Saints, his collaboration with fellow Bristol DJ Josph Htz. His radio work has included appearances on SWU FM, Rinse, and other independent stations, as well as hosting regularly on Cratedigs and Soul Roots Radio. FDSX is also one of the co-founders and resident DJ of NO SIGNAL, a Bristol-based underground house event built around sound, space and dancefloor culture. The project reflects his belief in the importance of the physical club experience, musical freedom and a genuine connection between DJ and dancefloor. Throughout his time behind the decks, his approach remains the same. Carefully selected records, instinctive mixing and a commitment to the music.
