Fergus is Hong Kong’s very own premium DJ and is a rising star in the city. He started his explosive DJing career at the mere age of sixteen and, within a year of gracing the decks, he picked up a residency at Heavy Hong Kong and Club XXX – seminal underground dance music nights and a club. His relentless passion for music and DJing drove him straight into the mecca of dance music: London. It only took a couple of weeks before Fergus attracted attention, and he soon played his first gig at the Corsica Studios’ infamous Church night. What followed was a snowball effect, as promoters enthusiastically brought him on board – either a special guest or a resident DJ – for events across the globe, including London, Manchester, Leeds, Bristol, Glasgow, Edinburgh, Amsterdam, Vienna, Innsbruck, Hong Kong, Shanghai, Beijing, Jakarta, Kuala Lumpur and Macau. This newfound popularity and momentum naturally drove Fergus to make his own records under Eton Messy, the popular underground house music label. Shortly after his releases, he and some close acquaintances started their own label, Fine Dining Records, which features a range of the finest and most promising up-and-coming rappers, producers and DJs in the UK. As a result of the sheer amount of genres and gigs Fergus deals with, he has performed under multiple monikers: Subcoat, Furry Groove and, naturally, Fergus Heathcote. When he is not touring, he is busy with his own various brands of club nights & hosting his own radio shows (South Canton Soul Train, Sounds Of The Underground & Simmer Down Sunday) he also frequently has guest appearances at prominent radio stations in London and Hong Kong, including Boiler Room, Radar Radio, Rinse FM, Balamii Radio, Hoxton FM and Hong Kong Community Radio. Following resounding success in UK and Europe, Fergus has returned to Hong Kong and continues to push a plethora of sounds he has collected from all over Europe to Asia. He immediately secured a spot as a resident at Play and Dragon-I, award-winning night clubs. He has also featured in top venues, corporate events and festivals in and around the city; such as Outlook, Bestival, Fools Paradise and Clockenflap. Since his flourishing return, he has also headlined two Asian tours. Fergus has the natural gift of using music to bring people from all walks of life together. His extensive experience rings true to that statement, as the charismatic artist has performed for high profile companies and artists – from humbling warehouse raves to performing for David Beckham, Hugo Boss, Armani, Ports 1961, Grandmaster Flash, Damien Marley, Skream, A$AP Mob, Sean Paul, Tempa T, Skepta, DJ EZ, Goldie D Mop, Vhils…the list goes on, and will keep getting longer.
