Originating from Santander, Spain, fer_he has spent years deeply involved in and shaping the underground electronic music scene. With a career built on passion, curiosity, and an unwavering respect for underground culture, his journey in music began at the age of 15, where he played drums in various bands and experimented with live performances. His introduction to DJing soon followed, mixing psychedelic rock records at his bandmates' club, where the Madchester sound left a lasting influence on his early musical development.
At 18, a pivotal trip to New York reshaped his musical trajectory. It was here that he discovered Sonic Groove, the iconic record store run by Adam X and Frankie Bones, where fer_he immersed himself fully in electronic music, sparking a significant shift in his approach to music.
In 1998, fer_he relocated to London, where he integrated himself into the underground scene. Through frequent visits to record stores and afterparties, he met local DJs and promoters, quickly establishing himself as a skilled DJ. His talent earned him a weekly residency at the legendary 414 club in Brixton, a key milestone in his career.
In 2002, fer_he returned to Spain and opened his own club, Montreal in Santander. Driven by a need to provide a space for underground electronic music to thrive, he faced initial challenges but quickly succeeded in making Montreal a hub for local electronic music enthusiasts, solidifying its place in the north of Spain's music scene.
Over the years, fer_he has taken his distinct sound to stages around the world. He’s played at Brighton’s iconic Concorde 2, in the Dominican Republic at the House Café and various raves in Playa Cabarete, and in Edinburgh, where he contributed to projects like the Sparkling Project and played at well-known venues like the Bongo Club and Vice Club. He has also been a key figure in Madrid's vibrant club scene, performing at clubs like Marula. His international presence extends to the Philippines, where he’s made waves at Manila’s Nokal and The Library.
A dedicated vinyl collector, fer_he is known for his impeccable DJ technique. His sound blends house, dub techno, and downtempo electronics, creating hypnotic, groove-laden atmospheres with intricate, enveloping nuances. His sets are more than just a sequence of tracks—they are sensory journeys, each one a carefully crafted narrative, designed to transport his audience into a deep musical experience.
