The one-man-project Feigur was started in 2007 by the French multi-instrumentist and graphic designer Adrien Tibi as an attempt to express his own interpretation of the transition phenomena between death and what is beyond, its effect on memory, emotions, and spirituality. Originally taking the shape of a raw, distorted, cold yet atmospheric Black Metal entity, Feigur progressively and naturally shifted toward experimental, ritualistic, naturalistic, and industrial electronic soundscapes. Released 10 years after the previous split-release “Feigur & Lustre” and mastered in Denmark by Malthe Fischer (Lust For Youth, Scandinavian Star), “III, Ascension” lands as the outcome of this progression, depicting the post-mortem journey around our world from the perspective of the soul in three movements - each of which represents the stages it must go through to resurrect; Pain, mourning (for oneself and others) and Healing. "Noises, harmonies, and distant samples of physical reality collide into a patchwork that I have always imagined to take place outside the limits of the observable." Feigur performed live for the first time on June 17th 2022 @ Stereo, Glasgow, UK, starting a series of live performances based around a modular synth system.
