Fatik opened SHR in the fall of 2016, as a way for the music that he loved exploring to meet in a physical space to share with the public. They have worked with a wide range of US & International artist to put on events in NYC & more recently releasing music on the labels 2 imprints, Second Hand Records & Just What The World Needs.. focusing on house & disco. This year we see Fatik launching 2 more labels (TRNWRK & Bring It Back) set to explore some uncharted corners in music that his previous labels had yet to uncover. In 2021 Fatik also started a bi-monthly party - private dance space called Musicland to help put all of these pieces together. They've invited special guest to share music for 6+hrs on a sprung dance floor featuring a 7x Klipshorn speaker surround sound immersive environment for healing & connecting. Feeling the need to step away from our dependency of the internet & the disconnect it creates, instead using it as a powerful tool of socio-exploration. Music & dancing are something so essential to us as a collective & one way to begin appreciating their effects is by replacing it with an understanding that some forms of communication do not present themselves in spoken languages.
