Farrah Dj
Biografía
In 2020, Farrah began the journey to realising her life-long desire to DJ. Whilst the “pandemic era” removed the opportunity to play in clubs, she did not go unnoticed resulting in her being invited to play on live streams for various promotors to include Hootananny Brixton and Love2HouseUK.
Since then Farrah has worked to refine her unique Deep House sound and as part of this journey created The Church of Deep House music brand in order to carve out a space dedicated to that pure Deep House sound and experience. With this sound and experience served through mixes, interviews, radio shows and events, Farrah is a Bloop London resident on the 1st, 2nd and 4th Friday of the Month from 12-1pm (BST) with The Church of Deep House radio show. And, having played at well known establishments such as HWK, her DJ endeavours now include putting on pure Deep House events called "Pure" as part of her brand's offering.
Influenced by her felt experience of House music during the pirate radio station era of the 80’s and 90’s and passionate about curating an emotive soundscape that emulates this, Farrah DJ says:
“When I first discovered “House”, I had no idea as to what the music was. All I knew was that it touched me deeply, caused me to feel a sense of joy and expansion, and expressed my feelings in ways words couldn’t necessarily. I can recall the experience to this day, and I wanted and needed to be able to do this to and for others. As such my sets are designed to take you, the listener, on an internal journey towards those moments where you feel that deep sense of joy and expansion causing you to naturally want to move your body. My objective here is to create those moments continuously, leaving you wholly satisfied and yet wanting to come back for more.”
