Fantastic Black Plastic
Biografía
Performing under the name Fantastic Black Plastic, Nick acquired a taste for vinyl at an early age. Collecting underappreciated sounds from around the globe from the past all the way up to the present, he specialises in soulful, underground music.
One of Adelaide’s most widely appreciated selectors, he currently holds down residencies at local hotspots including Roxie’s, Udaberri, BRKLYN and 1000 Island and Sunny's to name a few.
Over the border, he has performed dedicated shows at esteemed venues including Music Room, Rumbler Bar and Runner Up Rooftop in Melbourne as well as Si Paradiso in Perth among others.
A go to local support, he’s been given the call up to play alongside world-class acts from Nu Genea, Folamour and Chanti Celeste through to Mr Saturday Night, CC: Disco and many more.
Outside of the club, his sweet sounds have been heard on the airways of Three D, Radio Adelaide and Red Light Radio Amsterdam as well as online mixes for Closer, Duck!, Silent Palace, Groundfloor and Soundpond.
Having developed a strong following in his hometown, Nick currently heads up independent events collective Endless Grooves where he curates and presents both local and international acts at Sugar nightclub, hosts regular parties like Natural Pleasures at Roxie’s and produces numerous pop-up events including Dream Boat on the Popeye, Inner City Oasis in Rymill Park and Lunar Boogie at MOD.
Through these efforts he has curated, presented and hosted arange of touring artists from Mr Scruff, Session Victim, Jayda G and Chaos in the CBD through to Natasha Diggs, Jamie Tiller, Frank Booker and Jeremy Spellacey to name a few.
