Faeryn is a project created by Maria Rydzewska, who is living and creating on Wurundjeri Woi Wurrung country. Previously known as DJIHWT (dj I have work tomorrow) she has established herself in the Naarm rave scene as an enthusiast for all things fast melodic and vibrant. Her multiverse is filled with hard trance, tribe/tek and psy, with the occasional experimental twist. With the development of her taste in sound over the years, Faeryn aims to enchant her audience through a strong focus on playful psychedelic tones. Through her dedication for her craft, Faeryn has found herself playing amongst so called “Australia’s” biggest talent as well as supporting multiple international acts. Whether it be in the cities biggest clubs or underground raves, Faeryn will always be found casting spells behind the decks . In the past she has contributed to the scene through her promotion of Naarm based collective Rendition, elevating the fem, BIPOC and LGBTQ+ community. More recently Faeryn has taken on newer ventures to share her passion for psy/tek and hard trance through a new event series “Astral Awakenings.” The event had its debut in early 2023 showcasing Swedish crew Flat Rat, and since has hosted many local/ interstate acts.
