F Kay
Biografía
F Kay is a distinguished Scottish music producer and DJ, and a co-owner of the renowned events company, DJ collective, and record label, Short Fuse Collective. His musical journey began at the age of 15 when he started producing beats, primarily focusing on drill and trap genres. Over the years, F Kay has expanded his repertoire, collaborating with various artists and producing tracks across a wide range of genres, including rap, pop, rock, and more.
Drawing inspiration from iconic early electronic acts like Daft Punk and The Chemical Brothers, F Kay's production style is also heavily influenced by legendary non-dance music artists such as Steely Dan and Electric Light Orchestra. Hailing from Dumfries, the hometown of Calvin Harris, F Kay cites Harris as one of his major influences. Additionally, the 90s hip-hop scene, particularly the works of J Dilla, Madlib, and Pete Rock, significantly shape his musical style.
F Kay's dream is to leave an impact on the music scene, by sharing his productions with people and share the love of music. As he continues to grow F Kay wants to branch out and not only DJ and produce tracks for the club, but work with artists to execute their creative vision, no matter the genre.
