EXTRAA is nothing but EXTRAA. Based in Charlotte, they are a DJ, visual artist, and curator. Their roots take hold in Miami, FL where they were born and raised. Coming from Miami, EXTRAA brings a dynamic personality to the decks with their Colombian heritage and electronic influences from festivals like III Points. This created the melting pot of sounds that is a direct effect of the latin and hyper materialistic culture of Miami. EXTRAA has been in practice for 10 years, but had their first breakout in 2020 becoming a resident DJ with the Orlando-based crew Zelosaudio playing at the legendary venue Barbarella. At the same time, they were also releasing music with labels like Back Door Records and Internet Friends. EXTRAA is currently a resident with the Brazilian rave that has taken the world by storm: PROIBIDÆ. They also curate the Floridian-based mix series ‘In The Box’ that focuses on highlighting the underground scenes across the sunshine state. In Charlotte, they have quickly grown within its underground scene playing for multiple warehouse raves and parties with collectives like Cult of Sinetology, Vacationpay, Bluzpresents, and Overcast. EXTRAA is an energetic force on stage; but most importantly, they value creating a safe and euphoric space for all. Highlighting queer, trans, and BIPOC creative individuals is paramount in regards to the curation of their mix series and event production.
