ERNST is always looking for that raw edge in his music. May it come from dub, acid, electro or indie – it always finds its way back to techno. Bottom line: it must serve that purpose of releasing raw energy and feeling of never wanting to stop. Coming from the harmonic spectrum as jazz fanatic and pianist, the leap to the 909 seems farfetched. To the contrary - the continuous flow, rhythm and subtle changes in both share more similarities than differences. ERNST takes this baggage into his booth. He is one of the founding members of “Das Experiment”, an event unique in his kind – aiming to provide the audience an experience where there are no boundaries between genres.
