The Enkō project was initiated in 2011, following about a decade of DJing under various monikers. Enkō's style comprises a blend of 90s groove and contemporary techno, seamlessly presented with a sense of fluidity and rhythmic coherence that remains challenging to the ear and body. Driven by his love for sound, he ventured to the UK to study music technology and work in festivals and events such as Latitude Festival, Leeds Festival, and SHHH_IFT. After returning to Portugal, he established several projects - including OBRA, OCASO, SUMMA, and HAYES Collective, of which he is a former member - where numerous artists from diverse fields collaborated and performed. Although Enkō has worked with various clubs and promoters, his close affiliation with Gare Porto, Boom Festival, and Basilar Festival is particularly noteworthy. He has also performed at Forte Festival, Waking Life, and Lisb-On Jardim Sonoro. As a producer, Enkō has released EPs on labels such as Italy's AWRY, SUBOSC, and Portugal's HAYES. His contributions to the electronic music movement have been extensive, encompassing label work, performance, event production, curatorship, broadcasting, music production, and written work for various dance music projects. Enkō's dedication is as enduring as it is transversal, making him one of Portugal's most undeniable acts.
