Emperor X often performs and records with little more than an acoustic guitar and a dynamic microphone, but sometimes also employs large groups of musicians on improvised percussion devices, various electronic noisemakers, brass/woodwind/string ensembles, and traditional rock instruments. Emperor X also performs as a DJ, live-mixing ambient sounds and creating beats live in Reaper and on an OP-1 sequencing synth. Emperor X tours across the United States and Europe regularly and performs around the world as well, including tours in Mexico, Canada, Australia, and the United Kingdom.
