Fukuoka (Japan) born and bred, Emily was first influenced by the likes of Aphex Twin, Amon Tobin, Tangerine Dream and alike and started out as a selector playing chilled out sets full of abstract musical wonders. Initially inspired by a particular avant garde type party due to it’s chaotic clash of sound and visuals she became attracted to the freedom and infinite nature of this style of expression. By 2012 Emily was running her own regular party at local micro-rave space ‘Water Lounge’ and her set style had completed a gradual shift towards a more techno leaning sounds due to her training ground being rooted in the underground techno scene of the city and surrounds. Not long after, she reached the point of being invited to play alongside guests from Japan as well as international visitors. Her resident party ‘Venerdì’ continues to roll, now at local underground venue Transform since 2015 and as of 2019 Emily can also be found bringing her distinct take on the techno sound at the ‘Undulate’ parties at ‘sound space α.’ Her continuous pursuit of sonic effects on the mind, dealt both with delicacy and boldness make Emily not only a distinctive character behind the decks but also ensures those on the dance floor are fascinated in both their bodies and their souls.
