DJ/Producer Elias R has been DJing for two decades and producing for more than a decade. As a man of Colombian heritage born in Chicago, rhythm is his birthright. Now residing in the Sunshine State, Elias calls Orlando home. His DJ sets and productions capture a wide spectrum of music from melodic tinged sunset vibes to dark and pulsing techno. Elias has been rolling out techno, tech house, and house tracks in rapid succession on labels such as Stereo Productions, Nervous Records, Unity Records, Younan Music, Kore, and IAMT. Elias has an appreciation for an eclectic range of underground House and Techno from Chicago, New York, and Detroit. His signature style is genre-bending with groove that forays into progressive house and melodic surprises. Comfortable maneuvering between genres, Elias has had the opportunity to share the stage with Nicole Moudaber, Carlo Lio, Hot Since 82, Erick Morillo, Dubfire, D-Unity, Chus & Ceballos, Boris, The Martinez Brothers, Sharam and many more. Elias’ production style bridges genres and styles with releases on forward-thinking labels. His production skills gained gravitas when his single “Buggin Me” was Licensed for Richie Hawtin’s 2013 Enter Ibiza Compilation. His remixes showcase comfort with the classic house sound and include a reimagine of classic disco track Ring My Bell from Anita Ward and a remix of Bill Withers Ain't no Sunshine. Recent releases like “Floor Burn” on Kore Records feature a deep bassline that begs for a big room sound system. His tracks and remixes have received support from Stereo Productions’ Label boss Chus throughout the years. Additional support for tracks has come from Carl Cox, Stacy Pullen, and Dj Agent Orange. Fueled by his passion and true love for music, there’s no question Elias will continue to grow and evolve behind the decks and in the studio, connecting with new generations of clubbers and genuine music lovers. “My goal is to continue evolving in the studio to explore the melding of genres to produce techno tracks with diverse elements,” said Elias.
