EL MAMU is the artistic project as producer/DJ/live act of Mateo Muñoz. Born in Bogotá, Colombia, after a professional career as a classical pianist he finds a way to reconstruct himself artistically through musical production. His live act was the absolute winner of the 2023 Clandestino Contest held by Techsound, later sharing the stage with renowned international artists such as Lewis Fautzi, Alarico, DJ Pete, Truncate, Chris Liberator, Verraco, among others. EL MAMU has focused on producing and selecting sounds full of groove and hypnotism for its sets, mixing the classic sounds of rhythm machines with modern sounds that envelop its listeners in atmospheres full of depth and hypnotism. His music has been released on labels such as trau-ma (Portugal), PA$TI, CommonSense Records (Mexico), Cumulonimbus (Berlin), dZb Records (Spain), Conceptual Formula (Ecuador), TNR Media (Colombia), among others. . He is also co-founder of the Bogota collective No.ID, a dedicated cultural community. to the distribution, promotion and production of electronic music.
