In 2020 they released their self-titled debut album ‘8’ via 33-33 (Ryuichi Sakamoto, MarkFell, Keiji Haino), which envisions a sci-fi narrative at the intersection of climate crisis and digital justice. 8 is El Hardwick’s first release under their own name, following their previous work under the moniker Moonbow. This was followed by '8 Remixes' in 2022 - featuring reworks from the album by Ciel, Tiiva, 96 Back, Nailah Hunter, Tony Njoku, Laura Misch, gaiko and Memory Play. That same year saw their single 'Body Memory', featuring acclaimed experimental cellist Mabe Fratti, released on Hardwick's own label Desire Lines, which expands upon Hardwick's healing outdoor event series of the same name for disabled and neurodiverse queers and Desire Lines Vol. 1: a charity compilation for QueerCare featuring Mabe Fratti, Nailah Hunter, Arushi Jain and more.
