EKSTASIS (Athena Straz) is a Brooklyn-based electronic musician, performer, and Lesbian. A true born-and-raised Masshole, she studied music and performance at the former University of the Arts in Philadelphia before moving to NYC in 2023. EKSTASIS draws inspiration from old and new sounds alike, focusing on the simple idea that tension and release builds to catharsis. She has a particular fondness for Garage, House, and Techno beats, along with a fascination for experimental dance music.
