Federica Furlani, aka effe effe, studied music at the Conservatorio G. Verdi in Milan where she graduated in Viola and attended the two-year postgraduate course in Electronic Music and New Technologies. She attended for a semester the prestigious UDK in Berlin, where she had the opportunity to deepen her interest in sound design, interaction design and art/sound installations. She has collaborated as a violist with national and international artists, including: Einstuerzende Neubauten, Blonde Redhead, Renato Zero, Le Luci della Centrale Elettrica. She works in sound design and composition of music for the theater with the company DOMESTICALCHIMIA and she is one of the founding members of Officine Tesla with which she carries out research, artistic and laboratory activities on sound and technology. Her first solo work Tuning Scapes was released in 2021 by Neutral Mutation (aka NeMu), an experimental electronic music label based in Milan.
