Biografía
In the mid-80s I became part of Dr. Funkenstein's Music Laboratory, joining Den and Gini (both of whom I still regularly play with), and soon picked up on the early acid house sound. In the 90s I got heavily into house / trance / techno and the free party scene in Wales, as an organiser / promoter (as the Dragon Collective) / DJ; I played at Return To The Source, Pendragon and Megadog during this period. Late 90s to mid 00s I worked regularly with Zion Train, both as a support DJ and also doing the promo work for their labels Universal Egg and Deep Root.
Still playing some old-school house / acid on suitable occasions, but nowadays mostly dub, ska, funk, Afro, Latin, worldwide beats and the funkier / dubbier end of tech-house / deep house / techno.
Have played at many festivals over the years, including Shambala, Godiva, Glastonbury (Gaiaspace, first year of the Glade Stage and resident for 6 years in Café Tango), Frome, Megadog Beach Festival, Eclipse, Harvest Fair, Workhouse, Sheep Music and Newfoundland Gathering.
I was one of the co-founders, along with Steevio and Suzy B, of the annual FreeRotation Festival near Hay-on-Wye, and although I am no longer involved in the organisation of the festival, as one of the resident DJs it does give the opportunity to indulge my more technoid tastes in public.
Since 2008 I have been a resident and one of the crew in The Perfumed Garden at one of my favourite festivals, Beatherder, near to the Lancashire / Yorkshire Border.
Now also making my own music.
