DYLUSION is an electronic music producer and DJ hailing from San Francisco. Drawing inspiration from the sounds of experimental dance music pioneers such as SOPHIE, A.G. Cook, Arca and the like, as well as a lifelong career in biotechnology, DYLUSION is compelled by producing music that exists at the fringe between noise and song, at the precipice of dance and discomfort, and at the border between sequence and rhythm. As a DJ, they gravitate towards the hedonistic, high-octane rave sounds of hard dance, trance, electro, and techno that defined their entry into dance music as a teen, while infusing the house, pop, and hip-hop influence garnered from their early adulthood as a queer club rat in Chicago.
