Young Düzi discovered house music in the late 90s. Some of his first influences were Armand Van Helden, Roger Sanchez, Felix Da Housecat, Daft Punk, Basement Jaxx, and Groove Armada among many others. He spent the next several years taking in epic parties from Vancouver to Miami, before finally getting behind the decks himself in 2006. By 2007, he was getting booked to play everything from fashion shows to music festivals, and got a major bump in his career when he was booked to open for LA Riots. It was all uphill from there. He went on to play alongside Skratch Bastid, LA Riots (again), Team Canada, Huggs, VitaminsForYou, Mat the Alien, The Gaff, Ten Second Epic and others. Düzi has also played sets at the Hillberg & Berk Fall 2008 Fashion Show, NWL Spring 2009 and 2011 Fashion Shows, and the Juno Awards Afterparty 2007. Plus he commissioned a mix for the Fall 2010 Wella/Sebastian runway show. Recently moved to Toronto, Düzi has been mucking it up at various spots around the Dot, including Mod Club, Andy Poolhall, Nocturne, Augusta House, The Barn, and elsewhere. He recently landed an out-of town monthly residency at Pure Ultra Lounge in Regina.
