DUANE is an enigma—someone who’s lived many lives under many names. By day, he’s a political organizer working with nonprofits; by night, he’s a buzzing effervescent personality in Detroit’s gay club scene. No matter where he is or what he’s doing he’s always gonna be Detroit through and through. Born and Raised on the west side, he’s a proud graduate of the Detroit High School for the Fine and Performing Arts—alma mater of icons like Aaliyah and living legend Sheefy McFly. DUANE's current creative focus is writing and recording dance music that blends ghetto tech, electro, and house with his own hip-house-style rap vocals. His sound—and his life—are guided by the same principle: have fun, do what feels right, live in the moment. His magnetic personality and off the cuff charm are as much a part of his artistry as the music itself. “I think there’s always gonna be a niche following of people interested in anything I do,” he says. “I’m always changing. It’s up to them to keep up.”
