"Dr.Waumiau" is a DJ, photographer and author based in Berlin. His musical journey began long before his current sound, starting with self-released mashup projects and genre-blending DJ sets at a time when musical openness wasn’t a buzzword yet. After several years away from the DJ booth — spent working in photography, writing and editorial projects — he returned to the decks in 2025 by conscious choice. Not as a restart, but as a continuation with sharpened awareness for spaces, dynamics and what truly carries a crowd through the night. Musically, Dr.Waumiau moves between Trance, Hard Trance, Hard Groove and bouncy techno. His sets are energetic, melodic and playful, prioritizing flow over formulas and shared moments over self-promotion. Serious euphoria matters more to him than technical display. Sometimes, he also slows things down with tech house and more familiar groove-based sounds. As a former member of the Berlin-based collective Stromausfall, he was also involved in shaping community-driven events where safe space, awareness and joy on the dancefloor are foundational rather than optional. Since May 2026, he has been a resident DJ and proud member of NOXYS Berlin. Dr.Waumiau’s signature remains clear: driving, emotional and dancefloor-oriented — with a subtle wink and no fear of feeling too much. Appointments available on selected dancefloors.
