Have you ever wished that DJs would do more to connect the dark, gritty depths of techno and electro with the warm euphoria of house and italo? Well, Dr. Blowfin is giving it a good damn shot. A London based DJ who fell in love with electronic music in Nottingham, Dr. Blowfin is defined by these two opposite energies. He's just as comfortable playing a heads down stomper as he is a cheesy melody. This is a guy that's made chinstroking sound technicians shazam his tunes and has played Lipps Inc - Funkytown on a lineup with Juan Atkins. Yeah, he's THAT guy. This means that he can fit his sound to whatever environment demands it. He's comfortable playing house, techno, minimal, electro, italo, disco, breaks, jungle, tribal, funk and everything in between, and quite often most of these in the same set. Dr. Blowfin honed his chops as a Resident DJ for Unbound Events and has acquired his taste through being a co-founder of the online music magazine Untitled 909 and a contributor on its residency with Refuge Worldwide Radio in Berlin. This has led to opportunities to DJ at some of the best clubs in London and Berlin - such as Griessmuehle, Corsica Studios, Pickle Factory and The Cause - and alongside some of the most exciting artists around, including Skee Mask, Voiski, Batu, Juan Atkins, Binh, Jossy Mitsu, Mor Elian and Afrodeutsche.
