Appearing out of nowhere in particular in 2017, Tom Banks aka Donald Dust's debut 12” for No Bad Days and subsequent music for Bordello A Parigi and Paradise Palms introduced the world to his musical sphere: WBMX radio mixes, Ron Hardy drum tracks, the golden era of Italo synths and the rawer fledgling sounds of Eurodisco-influenced House circling and overlapping in his productions and DJ sets. In 2018, Donald Dust launched his own label Enter Planet Dust with a 7” of genre-bending DJ tools. Mars R-Trax mines the depths of Youtube modular synth demos, Adam & Fleisner SFX and disco drum 12”s. He has also held down a residency at Edinburgh’s Paradise Palms venue, began his Other Thumpers radio show on EH-FM and DJed in the UK, Europe and USA.
