Since the late 90's, he has continued to express himself as the frontman of a rock band, and has expanded his activities as a composer, DJ and live act. Since around 2010, he has been releasing music on his home label, TOTEM TRAXX, as well as on other labels in Japan and abroad, including the long-established German label Traum and Dense & Pika's (UK) Kneaded Pains, and has consistently ranked in the electronic music store "Beatport" charts. He has performed at some of Japan's most prestigious outdoor events, including Japan's largest outdoor music festival "FUJI ROCK FESTIVAL", "EN-Festival", "Re:birth", and "Brightness", and has been interviewed by music media such as Debug Mgazine and Mixmag. Since 2018, he has been running the label party series "MEiYOU" and one of Japan's leading outdoor festivals "GLOBAL ARK", and in 2023, he is planning to launch ＜In 2023, he will establish , which can be said to be a family label of , and continues to explore a wide variety of quality works that resonate not only with his own music, but also with others. In the world of Doshokubutsu, soundscapes oriented toward the ideal coexistence of organic and psychedelic music are expressed in every direction. 『DO SHOCK BOOZE -ドウショクブツ-』。 Yoichi Hayashiの音楽プロジェクト。90年代後半からロックバンドのフロントマンとして表現を続け、コンポーザーやDJ & LIVE ACTとして活動の幅を広げてきた。2010年頃からは自身のホームレーベルである＜TOTEM TRAXX＞からのリリースを基盤に、ドイツの老舗レーベル＜Traum＞やDense & Pika (UK) 主宰の＜Kneaded Pains＞等、国内外のレーベルから作品を発表し、エレクトロニック・ミュージック・ストア「Beatport」のチャートにはコンスタントにランクイン。日本最大級の野外音楽フェスティバル「FUJI ROCK FESTIVAL」をはじめ、「EN-Festival」、「Re:birth」、「Brightness」など日本国内でも屈指の野外イベントへの出演、Debug MgazineやMixmagなどの音楽メディアからのインタビュー、レーベルポッドキャスト「TOTEMIX」の運営、リミックスの提供、ファッションショーの音楽制作でも評価を高める。2018年からはレーベルパーティーシリーズ「MEiYOU」や、野外フェスティバル「GLOBAL ARK」を主宰、2023年には＜TOTEM TRAXX＞のファミリーレーベルとも言える＜Global Ark Recordings＞を設立し、自身の楽曲のみに留まらず、共鳴するバラエティに富んだ良質な作品の探求を続けている。ドウショクブツの世界では、オーガニックとサイケデリックの理想的な共存を指向したサウンドスケープが縦横無尽に表現される。
