Bianca Perez (dj yanka) is a multi-faceted artist born and raised in The Bronx. As a Guyanese and Puerto Rican New Yorker, she infuses that diversity through every project she pours into. Perez released their first single ‘warm embrace’ in 2021, making her Feinsteins 54 Below’s Future Fest debut later that same year. Following that release, she joined the collective Morphland collaborating most notably on the album ‘Touchy Feely’. In 2022, Bianca also made her first appearance at Radio City Music Hall and MajorStage expanding her repertoire with unreleased acoustic ukulele performances. Other NYC venues and organizations of which she's performed include, but are not limited to DROM, Broadway Green Alliance, Culture Lab NYC, Purgatory, Beam Center and Arlene's Grocery. Perez also co-produced a summer event series at the CIty Island Gallery in 2024. As we await more in her discography, dj yanka gives us something to chew on making appearances at Mood Ring, JBL Soho, Jupiter Disco, NYPL, Newtown Radio (bbleaders radio), Apple Williamsburg, Brooklyn Museum, Manhattan Center, Madison Square Garden and many more. Currently Programming Assistant and a Teaching Artist with the nonprofit Building Beats, Bianca is proof there is no limit to ways one can align themselves and serve community.
