Born and raised in the Bronx, NY,... DJ TMF "The Music Fanatic" (fka Tee Boogie) began her love of deejaying at the age of 15 under the name "DJ Technique". She mastered her craft while working as an apprentice to a local Bronx DJ specializing in Hip Hop and Old School R&B Classics. By 19, she won a DJ competition and secured a position as the Female DJ for an up and coming Hip Hop duo on Moon Roof Records. In February 2014, she brought her love of music and a little New York flair to DC's Golden Triangle Happy Hour Scene with "Boogie Nights" Friday Happy Hour (later known as "Fanatic Friday") and "Tantric Thursdays" which grew into a "House Music Happy Hour" Collaboration in 2017 held in the largest Underground DC Venue, the historic Bravo! Bravo! est in1968. The TMF brand expanded in 2016 with the establishment of TMF1 Productions' "The Underground" @ The Meeting Place (TMP), a Saturday Night House Music Dance Party. TMP, another historic location in the Golden Triangle, known for its Karaoke Fridays and Wednesday Night GoGo Sessions with DC's own EU and Sugar Bear closed during the 2020 Pandemic but it's legacy lives on in the hearts of those who experienced it. As a Woman in Music, TMF held residency at both venues at the same time fostering numerous DJ/Promoter Collaborations and Guest Appearances within the DMV's House Music Community and beyond. Ultimately, making and celebrating Female DJ Herstory each and every day along the way. She's as humble as they come but an undeniable force to be reckoned with... and so the music journey continues!! In 2021, TMF became one of the Founding Members of the Foundation For Creative Cultural Expression (#WeAreFfCCE), a DMV Collective of Event Producers, DJs, Dancers, Music Lovers and Tastemakers. FfCCE is the co-host of the 2022 Female DJ Herstory Series. They host indoor and outdoor events centered around House Music, Art and Dance.
