RMR - bio DJ RMR is immersed in Melbourne's underground techno scene. A resident at Trough X (@ Club 80) & regular at Fantastic the party. RMR recently performed at the federation bells as part of Melbourne Music Week's 10th anniversary alongside Elisabeth Dixon (Instruments of Discipline). Growing up, she listened to punk & metal, learning the guitar. A massive tech nerd at heart, RMR digital evolution & experience with music, drives her exploration of connecting the physical and the formless using sound. Her sets have an energy that can be described as deep & dark, emotive or sensual - a tourniquet for body, mind & present time. Performing since 2012 at events including Trough, Fantastic Party & Fantastic: The Abyss, Plexus, Revolver, Strawberry fields festival, Death Disco, Mythology, Hell Rave & The cave and Dance Technique & Control (Sydney). She's shared the decks with international techno artists Blush_Response, Borusaide, Prosumer, Nastia Reigel, Zoe Zanias, Halv Drom, Boris, Psyk and local talents including DJ Kiti, Λ / Π, Elisabeth Dixon, Chiara Kickdrum & Adrian Bell. Rachael's involved with Sydney's CONTROL, an event series focused on exploring sexuality & power thru dance, music & community. We hope to share & celebrate what our community have to offer, showcasing queer, female & non-binary artists.
