Born and raised in Istanbul, based in Berlin since 2019; DJ Regret discovered his passion for music when he started to go to local punk and hardcore shows at a young age. After discovering Istanbul’s beloved underground club Pixie in 2016, he quickly got involved in the community and started to mix at some parties around the city. In 2018, he formed a collective/party series called Assembly Station with graphic designer Deniz Derbent and it quickly became one of Istanbul's most diverse and liked parties. In the summer of 2020, he announced his residency on Root Radio with his show Regretful Rave. He likes to serve his sets with a wide range of different flavors that includes late 90’s / early 2000’s techno / acid techno, hard groove, breakbeat and jungle. Since September 2021 he is also running a party series called Ausländerbehörde (and soon to also be fanzine) that represented its first-ever party at Fitzroy. Heavily influenced by UK rave and free-party culture, DJ Regret is quite likely to keep things freaky and mash up the dance with an in-your-face kind of playful mixing style.
