Cristian Fernández aka Mandol is an impassioned selector and vinyl-lover from Córdoba (Andalucía), now based in Barcelona. Cristian's love for underground music and the art of DJing dates back to his academic years in Granada, and evolves as he immersed himself in the European scene from diverse angles. His sets mainly include tastes from the past, hardgroove cuts between the late 90s and early 2000s, oriented to the floor and serious-dancing. For this reason, he often denotes his groove as Salsa, due to the rhythmic use of latin vocals tracks. Recently, he created the electronic music platform "Pure Wax", aiming to difuse the art of vinyl mixing and creating community in the city of Barcelona. He has collaborated with groups like PRAXIS, AMEBA, 45MIN or MANIKIN. He has performed at renowned catalan clubs like WARE or Sala Upload, among others. Internationally, three of the most remarkable experiences were his DJ set in BCR (Bangkok, Thailand), his residency at Enigma Social Club (Rome, Italy) and his DJ set in STK47 (Krakow, Poland).
