Stéphane Marie Françoise, aka Jetlag, is a French DJ and producer of Martinican origin, based in Geneva since 2013. His first musical impressions were shaped by his parents’ tastes, blending strong Antillean influences with plenty of disco, funk and groove—sounds that accompanied him as he grew up. His passion for music blossomed in the 1990s, after moving to Martinique, where he honed his craft amid Caribbean rhythms (Zouk, Dancehall, Ragga, Soca…). Very quickly, he was mixing in the island’s clubs and collaborating with local scene figures. At the end of the ’90s, he discovered electronic music—a true musical revelation. In 2000, he moved to Paris to refine his technique. There he co‑organized regular parties in the capital, exploring Deep House, Soulful, House and Electro styles. In 2010, he founded the Wonk y Monkey collective with his partner Hervey. Together they secured prestigious residencies (Le Dandy, Paris Paris, Scène Bastille) and built connections in London, where DJ Jetlag performed notably at Egg. In 2013, he settled in Geneva and launched Most Wanted with his turntablist brother Marco Alegre—a collective still active today dedicated to promoting electronic music. He has since held residencies at the city’s flagship venues—Weetamix, Studio B, Chez Jean‑Luc, La Gravière, Les Voiles, KulturBar, Le PAV, Uptown Geneva, and more. He developed a partnership with Glitterbox (Defected) and has shared stages with acclaimed artists such as Dave Lee (Joey Negro), Crazy P, Melvo Baptiste, Opolopo… With a richly varied career of destinations, encounters, parties and festivals, Jetlag today thrives in Organic House, Melodic House, Progressive House and Nu Disco.
