DJ Geauga Lake is the current musical project of Cleveland-raised record collector / selector Carrie Sarley. Pulling from her love of sampling and musical lineages, her appreciation for warm and psychedelic dance music sound design, and experiences in queer worldbuilding in the DIY, glamour-free creative environment of the Midwest; their approach to DJing and music sharing encourages moments of personal catharsis on the dance floor. Their moniker comes from the beloved and defunct eccentric Northeast Ohio theme park Geauga Lake. She is anti-AI and pro-dessert. She currently runs the recurring " Magic ! " party at the Little Rose Tavern in Cleveland, a 'moody & funky' vinyl dance night (named after Bou-Kahn's "Magic" single on Quark). DJGL also regularly plays at the Tub Club parties at Cocktails Cleveland, has hosted regular nights at Crobar and Cent's Pizza, founded the "Heaven Is In You" party series with ADAB and was part of the extended "In Training" crew at the infamous Now That's Class venue.
