DJ Fairway

Born in New Orleans, Louisiana, he spent his youth with infatuated with bounce music, and the block parties at which the most popular bounce songs were typically created. After moving to Portsmouth, Virginia due to Hurricane Katrina, Fairway noticed the similarity between the Baltimore club he was hearing on the local radio (which he initially thought was a Virginia thing) and the bounce music he grew up on. This realization led Fairway to an even more important discovery, In every place black people have migrated, they have developed their own style of music and their own way of dancing to that music. DJ Fairways sets are entirely rooted in this premise. He confidently weaves long, multi deck, multi genre blends, showcasing the commonality we share as black people throughout the diaspora.
