Biografía
Born in Hong Kong to Western parents, Fabsabs speaks fluent Cantonese and immersed himself in Hong Kong music culture from a young age. Fabsabs has performed at international festivals including Clockenflap, Nestival and POPFEST, and has expanded his Canton Disco DJing to London and Manchester with Half East Records and Congee Sounds.
He performed in front of 4000 people in M+ Museum Hong Kong, and twice at Macau superclub MOP. His Cantomania nights have been a hit at the likes of ⼧ Club, Quality Goods Club, Franks and Soho House in Hong Kong. Fabsabs has also supported the likes of Black Eyed Peas and Sammi Cheng.
Fabsabs also presents on Hong Kong-based Eaton Radio, and promotes local artists. With releases by the likes of FINGERGAP and Pressure Kay on his Holunjeng Records imprint, Fabsabs also put out his first EPs featuring an eclectic style highlighting Hong Kong and Asian music.
Starting as a radio Dj playing punk and emo, he took a key role in nights such as Lufuki Stink, Secret Walls HK, Tropical Madness, Eclectic Disco, Cantomania, performing live with his band The Borscht Brothers, and spinning at LGBTQ+ clubs. On top of pivoting into music production, he has promoted the
likes of Zack Calixtus, Govi Dhaliwal, TripleSix, Aspect852,Sky Limbu, Mydas Murray, Metic, Retox'D, and Arches either on radio or at curated music nights. Look to for an expanded repertoire of Cantonese edits and more great things to come.
