It all beguns 1984 with a visit at a cinema in East Germany, the movie 'Beat Street' . The story about the very early HipHop Culture in New York flashed him. It where not the raps, not the wild breakdances, but the electric funky sound of this movie, which keeped him interested in electronic music. In 1989 he moved to Dresden to study at the university. There he visits an event whith DJ Westbam and first time he heard about a style named TECHNO. Rocco met with the Organizators of that event and they told him about a new club they will open, THE FABRIQUE. The scene in 1990 was really small, the club was totaly underground and non-professional and he starts to work there as a bouncer. But in every free minutes of his live he mixed already his records at home and starts to make tapes. The boss of the club listened once of them, and decided to give him a chance to play in the morning. It was succesfull, and he became now a resident of the club in 1992. In the next years he played in different citys of East Germany, in 1994 follows the first Gig im West-Germany at the Club M1 in Stuttgart, one year later the first international Gig in Club Radost in Prague. In 1996 he opens his own club, THE OBJECT. It became one of the most important clubs in East Germany with high classed bookings. Artist like DJ Hell, Allen Alien, Kevin Saunderson, MonikaKruse, Terrence Parker, Tom Clark, Mijk van Dijk, Derrick May, Dr. Motte, Steve Bug and for sure Westbam played at this venue, an old garage for tanks in a former russian military base in Dresden. Westbam invited him to play in 1997 to the Mayday -The Sonic Empire and Doorkeeper travelled to his first gig at the american continent in San Francisco. One year later Dr Motte invited Rocco to play at the Love Parade Opening Rave LICHT & LIEBE, and he had his first trip to the african continent to play in some towns in South Africa. In 2000 he released together with DJ Stereo Jack his first Records at Superstition Records in Hamburg. Soon he moved to Berlin, played in clubs like Tresor, Casino, Maria and the legendary SO 36 and became a member of the Kiddaz.fm-Records Crew. He released there some records under the monliker KEEP IT STEREO. They became really succesfull, especially in Japan, so he played in 2002 some gigs in Tokio. At the same year he played first time in Moscow, made some remixes for DJ Emerson and a russian project named LATOR, and visited as the first international DJ the legendary Kazantip-Festival in Ukraine.In 2004 he organised together with Monika Kruse the NO HISTORICAL BACKSPIN TOUR in 10 citys of Germany against neofascism an intolerance. All artists like Thomas Schumacher, Technasia, Paul van Dyk, Asem Shama, Patrick Lindsey, Tom Clark, DJ Hell, Chris Liebing, T.P. Heckmann, Len Faki, Pascal FEOS and many more donate their fee to an organisation, which helps victims of rassistic violence to get professional helps from good lawyers. The next years he travelled for a lot of gigs to Russia , Poland and Ukraine. There he could find exactly the audience he needs. So it was not a wonder, that he dicided to move in 2011 to live in the beautiful city of Odessa. His sets are always influenced by timeless and modern music, a travel through the history and future of electronic music, with skills of the early DJ-Culture like scratches and beatjugglings. In Ukraine the clubowners call him a monster, cause he is playing never less than 3 hours and you can be sure: if the audience agrees with his sounds, he played 6 hours and more, until the record players starts to burn!
