dj bubbles is a U.S. born, now Prague-based DJ who has been quickly gaining attention in the past year. Inspired to start DJing by her experience as a lighting designer for Prague’s Ankali club, she has made a notable mark relatively quickly: from making the switch from the club’s light booth to the DJ booth to sharing the stage with the likes of Angel D’Lite and DJ Tool. In terms of style, she’s heavily inspired by her time designing lights for Harmony Records events - drawing from uplifting trance and prog house to minimal psy and other hypnotic four-on-the-floor styles, but she prefers to discard genre words for more intuitive descriptions: bubbles as in lighthearted and fun, but also bubbles as in deep, gurgling, and purring - a cheeky underwater current that pulls you in and refuses to let you go.
