Coming from the border of the Rio Bravo, Rodrigo always explored the vast cultural influences that growing up between two important landmarks for music could bring. Wether it is cumbia tropical, norteñas, texano or hip-hop, the Tamaulipas-Texas border has had a ton of influence in both sides of the river. Currently performing under the alias DJ BAGHDAD, Rodrigo finds various types of grooves within different genres. Exploring rhythms of house, hard groove, ghetto house, disco, acid, jungle, among others, Rodrigo looks for ways to blend these sounds into one constant beat. Rodrigo is the co-founder of the party collective GENESI, focused on showcasing various urban sounds from the sorts of hip-hop, jazz, acid, club, among others.
