Dj Asterium
Biografía
Asterium, a belgian-in-Malmö-based DJ has always been a music nerd who was raised with the jazz and classical music collection of his parents. At 10 years old he was a Beatles fan and at 15 he was seriously addicted to Prince.
He started DJ’ing in Belgium back in the 90’s after been influenced by the leading Belgian clubbing scene where EBM, new beat, trance, house, techno were the leading styles in clubs like AB, Café d’Anvers, Boccaccio, La Rocca, Fuse.
There was nothing more exiting in those days than searching for vinyl's in Antwerp, Brussels, Ghent and London.
Asterium kick off his career by playing clubby and trancy tunes in clubs and at local parties which later evolved into a heavier techno sound.
He moved to France were he became resident at a club in Font Romeu. The logical next step was to go further south, he became resident @ Club Xtra in Lloret de Mar.
In 2003 he had to take a DJ-break as he was busy with other important things in life like forming a family and starting another career outside the world of music.
Two years ago, in 2013, he moved to Sweden with his family and started focusing on house music again. Today he’s back in full force creating deeply moving and emotional sets. Deep & Tech House, Ellum, Suara, Off Recordings, Drumcode, Still for Talent, Life and Death ... are the buzzwords nowadays.
In addition to the DJ’ing he’s also busy with creating and promoting various music related events in Sweden.
