Digital Overdrive
Biografía
Growing up in the late '90s, Digital Overdrive was introduced to the world of electronic music through the cassettes of his older cousin, where the pulsating beats of techno imprinted on his young mind. This early exposure was a seed that would later flourish into a defining musical journey.
After dabbling in the heavy riffs of metal bands during his teenage years, Digital Overdrive found his true calling in electronic music. The transition was marked by the acquisition of his first drum machine, a pivotal moment that shifted his focus towards producing music that resonated with his soul.
His style is distinctly characterized by deep, mental, and hypnotic loops, layered with an energic yet cold noise that pierces through the conventional. Digital Overdrive prefers a straightforward approach in his productions and DJ sets, where the music speaks directly to the subconscious, inviting dancers into a trance-like state.
Influenced by the pioneers of Detroit techno and the Berlin underground, Digital Overdrive founded Theosis Records as a beacon in the techno scene, not just for his productions but for his philosophy that music should be an escape, a moment where the world fades away, and only the beat remains.
